Boomer’s Sportsbook is set to open two new locations on Fremont Street after Nevada’s Gaming Control Board approved the independent operator to take over sportsbooks at Four Queens hotel-casino and Binion’s Gambling Hall & Hotel. The company expects to have both downtown Las Vegas locations up and running by Sept. 1, just ahead of the NFL season, pending a final sign-off from the Nevada Gaming Commission later this month.
The approvals mark Boomer’s 17th and 18th licensed locations in Nevada, according to President and CEO Joe Asher, who founded the sportsbook brand roughly a year ago. Asher has said the company is targeting at least 20 locations in the coming months as it continues expanding across the state.
A Personal Return to Fremont Street for Asher
The Four Queens sportsbook is being relocated and expanded as part of the takeover, with Asher noting the new space will be roughly 125 to 150 square feet larger than the current setup and will offer improved viewing and seating for bettors. Binion’s sportsbook will stay in its existing location, giving Boomer’s a foothold at a property with deep historical ties to sports wagering in Las Vegas.
